[J] ICU visits are limited to 30 minutes every two hours between 10:00 and 10:00. We just left Marisa after the 10:00 AM visit. She's doing OK. Her level of pain is a little higher this time. This procedure was a lot closer to soft tissue. The hospital likes patients to describe their pain on a 0 - 10 scale. After the first procedure she was in the 1-2 range most of the time. Now she's at 3-4. The pain level is making it hard for her to get comfortable; consequently, making it hard to sleep.
The swelling from last night has turned purple. She's now got a good black-eye. Nausea doesn't seem to be much of a problem. The anesthesiologist took measures to help her a little more this go-around. She's also fully awake and talking. There are no signs of speech problems. She told her Dad to stop bumping the bed pretty quickly.
I think her spirits will be higher shortly. All things considered, they're not too bad now. She's scheduled for her last angiogram this afternoon. That will be the last surgical procedure. It should be all downhill after today.
