Singletrack, camping, and football

We went up to Santos on Friday and rode just over 17 miles. The trails were covered with pine needles and leaves which made it difficult to see the trail in a few spots. The weather was nice...a little cloudy, 70 degrees, and low humidity. John "mastered" the pump track finally and I made it across a skills obstacle. Woohoo!

We set up our tent and had lunch before we actually headed out on the trails. We ended up moving our tent after our ride. I discovered we had set up camp on top of a red ant hole and wasn't willing to risk waking up to an army of ants in the tent.

We packed the Jetboil camp stove, but after the ride...we decided to go to Ruby Tuesday's for dinner. So much for "roughing it". John had the triple prime cheeseburger and I had the mini burgers with a salad. We easily consumed the calories we burned earlier that day.

Saturday we got up early, cooked breakfast, and packed up by 8:30 to drive up to Gainesville for the football game (UF vs FIU). The seats we had were great!! They had seat backs which made it more comfortable and the weather was perfect. The game was a blowout. I got pictures of Tebow warming up and scoring his first rushing TD of the game. We ended up leaving a few minutes before the end of the game and jogged back to the car in hopes of missing the traffic gridlock that would follow.
